Important Travel Advice

Attendees are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time.

Trains run regularly to Olympic Park from Lidcombe and the venue is a short walk from the station.

Remember, you'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the event. Register your details online at Opal or via the Opal Travel app ahead of time.

If you have to drive, travel with your group and pre-book your parking online – available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior.

Traffic may be heavier than usual on roads approaching the precinct so allow extra travel time. You can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.

Opal

You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.

Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.

More ways to pay

If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Tallawong Station and Chatswood Station.

Due to planned weekend trackwork buses will replace all Metro North West services between Tallawong and Chatswood on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 December.

Change at Epping to connect with trains towards Strathfield then Olympic Park.

The closest station to Qudos Bank Arena is Olympic Park.

Trains run regularly to Lidcombe where you can head to Platform Zero for a direct train to Olympic Park, running every 10 minutes until late

Trackwork

Weekend trackwork is taking place from 2am Saturday 16 December to 2am Monday 18 December on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.

  • T1 Western Line: Limited buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield. Trains run to and from the City via Bankstown. On Saturday you can catch a direct train between T1 Western Line stations and the City via Bankstown.
  • T2 Inner West & Leppington Line: Limited buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield. Travel to and from the City via Bankstown or the Airport
  • T3 Bankstown Line: Extra trains run between Lidcombe and the City via Sydenham, to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
  • T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction. Trains run to a changed timetable between Cronulla or Waterfall and North Sydney. Change at Town Hall for express buses to Bondi Junction. Trackwork buses do not leave from Martin Place Station. Buses leave from nearby bus stops or you can catch the light rail to Town Hall or Central.
  • T5 Cumberland Line: Extra trains run between Richmond and Leppington.
  • T9 Northern Line: Extra trains run between Rhodes and the City Circle
  • Blue Mountains Line: Trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Blacktown only, due to trackwork between Lidcombe and Strathfield. Change at Penrith for express buses to Strathfield.
  • South Coast Line: Buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction. Trains run to a changed timetable between South Coast Line stations and Central, platforms 1-12. On Saturday From 7.30am to 11.30am, at Bulli, Woonona, Bellambi and Corrimal, all trains leave from platform 1. From 12pm to 4pm, at Corrimal, Bellambi, Woonona and Bulli, all trains leave from platform 2.
  • Southern Highlands Line: Saturday 16 December from 10am to 4pm, buses replace trains between Campbelltown and Moss Vale.

Regular Route Buses

The following Sydney Buses services run to Sydney Olympic Park:

  • Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Burwood via Sydney Olympic Park. 
  • Route 526 runs from Rhodes to Burwood via Sydney Olympic Park Ferry Wharf
  • Route 533 runs from Sydney Olympic Park to Chatswood via Rhodes and North Ryde.

The closest wharf to Qudos Bank Arena is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue or alternatively it is approximately a 40-minute walk (3.6km) from the wharf.

F3 Parramatta River services run regularly to Olympic Park, but services are very popular and may reach capacity. Plan your trip and allow plenty of extra travel time or consider the alternative public transport options available.

F3 Parramatta River ferries between Parramatta and Rydalmere may be affected by low tide and replaced by buses, check for updates here.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L1 Dulwich Hill light rail services run between Central Grand Concourse and Dulwich Hill from 6am to 11pm daily, and until midnight on Fridays. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.

Change at Central for trains to Lidcombe to connect with shuttle trains to Olympic Park.

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines

L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily, plan your trip using Trip Planner.

Change at Central for trains to Lidcombe to connect with shuttle trains to Olympic Park.

Traffic may be heavier than usual on roads approaching Sydney Olympic Park including on the M4, Parramatta Road, Homebush Bay Drive and Concord Road. You can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.

If you must drive, travel with your group and allow extra travel time on roads including the M4, Parramatta Road, Homebush Bay Drive and Concord Road. Ticketholders are urged to pre-book parking ahead of time to secure a space – available until 11:59pm the night before the show unless sold out prior.

The nearest Taxi Rank to Accor Stadium is Herb Elliott Avenue at Park Street.

If you’re using taxis or rideshare, remember that roads may be closed within the precinct. Allow plenty of extra travel time due to the increased traffic expected in the precinct before and after the event.

If you're getting dropped off, a dedicated drop-off/pick-up zone will be located on Australia Avenue, between Murray Rose Avenue and Kevin Coombs Avenue.

Ticketholders are urged to pre-book parking online online to secure a space – available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior.

If you have pre-booked a space, follow the directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry.

Alternatively, consider parking at a nearby train station commuter car park and continuing the trip to Olympic Park by train as frequent additional services will run.

Avoid the delays leaving carparks and enjoy the many venues in the precinct that will stay open after each concert.
